This is so freakin’ true. Thoughts lead to words, words lead to action and actions lead to circumstance. This is either from “As a Man Thinketh-James Allen” or Khalil Gibran-The Prophet. My personal addition…. Thoughts lead to words, words lead to action and actions lead to circumstance and it is the circumstances that shape the world.
So change your thoughts and change your circumstances. Change your circumstances and change your world. Sidebar, if you become really adept, you can then change a many of worlds; yours, his, hers, them, theirs, communities, tribes, villages, states, countries. I know, a bit carried away here, but so true.
4 ways to analyze your thoughts
- Become more aware of your thoughts.
- Become aware of whether your thoughts are in direct support of your goals or are they indirectly supporting something other than your goals like say your ego? What are your thoughts in support of? Good, bad, sabotage, self-sabotage, wealth, poverty, peace, conflict. Hmmmm…THINK!
- Become aware of whether you control your thoughts or do your thoughts control you?
- Become aware of whether you control your circumstances or do your circumstances control you?
Do your thoughts just appear out of the blue as reaction to your circumstance? In fact, is the circumstances in your life now creating your thoughts, your actions, your words, instead of how it should be, the other way around, where again your thoughts affect your words which affect your actions which affect your circumstances. The latter is a better bread crumb trail that will lead you back through to the place of happiness, joy, peace, and solitude. The unhealthy or imbalanced way is to be lead to believe that the circumstance is the major cause of your thoughts. For It is your thoughts that cause more thoughts. Circumstance can only influence your thoughts. Circumstances can only provide persuasive suggestion to your thoughts… the thoughts the ego believes you should have in relations to your personal and particular circumstance. Say huh?? True that. Circumstances just masquerade as the cause, while providing subliminal and bias suggestions to the thoughts you should have. The ego in the mist of circumstance believes certain thoughts will help you to best navigate and maintain your status quo though whatever particular life circumstances you may and have encountered. This here is a result of our Darwinian survival of the fittest programing, making sure you survive the circumstance, make it out alive, and live to fight another day.
Track your thoughts and see how many just pop up without your consent, your permission. What I am sharing with you, is this all some secret Jedi mind type stuff you may ask? …Not really. It is just a meta way of thinking or a meta meta way of thinking or more simply put thinking about how you are thinking.
But what’s more important than all of this thinking, is that which is before the formulation of the thought, which is the heart. Ah…the matters of the heart. I will post more about the heart at a later date.
But until then, become more aware and change your thoughts and you will become more aware of and improve your ability to change your circumstance. This will in turn change your world.
